What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Our daughter is 3.5 and she speaks French in addition to her native tongue Turkish. She goes to a half-day school and is an active child so nanny/au pair will be required to interact with her when she returns from school. My husband and I both speak English fluently and I am a francophile. However some basic Turkish is essential for daily life. You’ll be treated as a member of the family. We expect you to help us with with simple household chores but know that we have an extra person for cleaning. All we ask you will be to take care of our daughter, guide/ accompany her and be a good role model.

Family Description:

We are a family of three, and live quite close to major hubs of İstanbu. Successfull candidates will receive additional information about the housing situation.

Au Pair Letter:

We had an Turkish Nanny 2010 to 2013 and another co-helper from Phillipines for Fall 2011. Unfortunately our nanny is leaving us soon so we’ll be seeking an aupair. We are seeking an active person who speaks fluent French, addition of Turkish/English will be a preference. The duration of the term will be at least 9 months. Please also note that we are also looking for candiates that will be interested in long term durations and that’s another plus for selection criteria. We expect you to help us with with simple household chores but know that we have an extra person for cleaning. All we ask you will be to take care of our daughter, guide/ accompany her and be a good role model. I generally cook various cuisines and one night each week will be your evening where we’ll east your menu. If u wish to cook, u’ll be more than welcome provided that this doesnt overshadow your main task – taking care of our daughter. The candiate will have a day off each week, Au pairs a may also find extra jobs at her free time for an extra income, again provided that this doesnt overshadow the prime directive. The very least is that she might give language lessons to neighbor kids since there is a huge demand here for native speaking teachers. Dear Candiates we live in Istanbul. I am not going to tell u about anything about Turks and Turkey. Just google it, talk to people u know who’s been here. You’re coming to a civilized, industrialized country with laws. I will respond the candidates matching our criteria.
